Ken Hurst Signed Master Engraved Gold Inlaid Winchester Model 42 Skeet Grade Takedown Slide Action Shotgun Manufactured in 1937 and subsequently masterfully engraved and gold inlaid by renowned Master Engraver Ken Hurst. This shotgun features an engraved wooded scene on each side of the receiver flanked by floral scroll engraving. The left side has a gold inlaid hawk swooping down on a gold inlaid squirrel at the base of a tree, and a gold inlaid fox in pursuit of a gold inlaid rabbit is on the right side. Each scene is flanked by floral scroll engraving with simple line and silver inlaid borders. The lower right side of the receiver is signed "K. HURST". The front edge of the receiver and rear edge of the takedown ring have a silver inlaid wire band. Single brass bead sight on the solid matte rib. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the proof steel, model, maker, gauge and chamber size followed by "SKEET". The Winchester oval proof is marked on the upper left side of the barrel and on top of the receiver at the breech. 3 inch chamber and choked skeet. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver and takedown ring. Mounted with extra fancy checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with contrasting grip cap and checkered Winchester buttplate. Length of pull is 14 1/8 inches.
