Qualifies for in-house shipping---Typed, signed letter, dated April 27, 1929, from renowned American novelist, Sinclair Lewis, to a Miss Baker, asking her to telephone him at Algonquin 2555 some morning between nine and half past ten; heading address on letter "37 West 10th St., New York" in Greenwich Village (Lewis moved to this address in 1928 with his second wife, the journalist Dorothy Thompson (1893-1961) and remained there until 1930, the year he became the first author from the U.S. to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature. His book "Dodsworth" was written at least in part while living at this address.); paper size 8 1/4" x 5 3/8" (Inv. 27)
