Gamba Signed Bertuzzi Venere Double Barrel .410 Bore Side Lock Shotgun Manufactured by the boutique firm of Bertuzzi in Gardone, Italy, and carrying on a family tradition of fine, bespoke Italian doubles over the course of four generations, until brothers Elio and Remigio Bertuzzi retired in 2009. Single steel bead sight on the matte, solid rib barrels with 3 inch chambers, ejectors, and full/full chokes. The left barrel is marked "Armi F'ili Bertuzzi Italy", and the barrel flats feature standard Italian commercial proofs. The coin finished side lock action features fine, incredibly detailed, Bulino style, game bird scene engraving by Italian Master Engraver Lorenzo Gamba. Featuring flocks of beautifully rendered birds on the side plates with lush detailed backgrounds of open fields and distant forests. The underside is engraved with two birds in flight with a detailed birch tree and field in the background. The scenes are bordered with detailed rose blossoms and leafy scroll on contrasting, fine punch-dot backgrounds, and the trigger plate is signed "L. Gamba 2009 Inc." Single non-selective trigger and tang mounted manual safety switch. Mounted on a checkered forearm with a gold inscription area marked "P. CONSTANTINE" and straight grip stock with tear drop flats and a finely checkered bare butt.
