A refined lot of six Bohemian cut-to-clear crystal wine goblets, each crafted with a richly saturated cobalt blue overlay expertly wheel-cut to reveal brilliant clear crystal beneath. Each goblet features a rounded bowl decorated with finely engraved radiating starburst and stylized floral motifs, raised on an elegant faceted clear stem terminating in a molded sunburst foot. The striking contrast between the deep cobalt overlay and the hand-cut decoration exemplifies the celebrated artistry of Bohemian crystal production. For centuries, Bohemian glasshouses have been internationally recognized for producing some of Europe's finest colored overlay crystal. The painstaking process of layering vibrant cobalt glass over clear crystal before hand-cutting intricate decorative patterns results in exceptional brilliance and remarkable optical depth. Equally suited for elegant table service or cabinet display, this cohesive set of six combines timeless design with outstanding craftsmanship, making it a desirable addition to collections of fine European art glass and crystal.

  • Condition: Overall very good vintage condition. The goblets retain excellent clarity with vibrant cobalt overlay and crisp wheel-cut decoration.
