Condition:
The original Whitman folder exhibits significant wear, including extensive scuffing and discoloration on the front and back covers. A large, irregular white worn area is prominent on the front cover, suggesting a removed label or heavy abrasion. Edges and corners are visibly softened and worn, with some fraying. Internally, the blue cardstock pages show considerable age-related discoloration, staining, and what appears to be dirt or grime accumulation, particularly around empty coin slots and on the informational page. Some darker spots, potentially indicating mold or mildew, are visible on the interior pages. All eight inserted coins are ungraded and appear to be in circulated condition, exhibiting typical wear, scratches, and toning consistent with their age and use. The empty slots reveal discolored and worn cardboard backing.

Item Description
Weight: 4.5oz

Embark on a numismatic journey with this compelling offering: a Whitman No. 9039 Jefferson Nickel Collection, Number Two, starting from 1962. This quintessential folder serves as a superb foundation for any burgeoning or seasoned coin enthusiast. While partially filled, this intriguing collection currently houses 8 of its 65 designated slots with authentic Jefferson Nickels, providing a tangible starting point or an exciting opportunity for completion.

For the discerning collector, it's worth noting that while Jefferson Nickels from this era (post-1964) are commonly struck from a 75% copper, 25% nickel composition, the pursuit of mint state examples or specific, lower-mintage Denver (D) or Philadelphia (P) mint marks can add significant value to a collection. Though the coins presented here are circulated, this folder offers an accessible entry point to a fascinating series. We encourage prospective bidders to meticulously review the high-resolution images to assess the condition of the individual coins and the folder itself.
