Condition:
The Whitman No. 9004 folder exhibits significant wear commensurate with its age and use. The front cover displays substantial surface loss and tearing in the upper central area, exposing the underlying cardboard. There are numerous scuffs, abrasions, and areas of discoloration across both the front and back covers. Edges are worn, and corners are bumped and rounded, showing creasing and some tearing along the spine. Internally, the pages show age-related toning and some discoloration around the empty coin slots and where coins have rested. All coins are ungraded and appear to be in circulated condition, exhibiting varying degrees of wear, surface marks, and environmental toning consistent with their age. No specific coin appears to be in uncirculated or high-grade condition from the provided images. This is a partially filled folder, as pictured.

Item Description
Weight: 10.6oz

A compelling opportunity for collectors, this Vintage Whitman No. 9004 Lincoln Head Cent Penny Collection spans the crucial early years of the iconic Lincoln Cent, from 1909 to 1940. This historical album, a testament to a bygone era of coin collecting, currently houses 69 of its 89 possible slots, offering a robust foundation or a significant step forward for any numismatist. While many common and semi-key dates are present, it is important to note that several of the highly coveted, low-mintage 'key date' Lincoln Cents from this period, such as the 1909-S VDB, 1914-D, and 1931-S, are among the missing pieces. This makes the collection an ideal acquisition for a burgeoning enthusiast eager to embark on the thrilling journey of filling a classic album, or for an experienced collector seeking to complete their own set of circulated examples. Each cent tells a silent story of American history, waiting for its next custodian.
