SN H2116. Cal. 308. 25" bbl. Absolutely tremendous, high quality H&K Model 21 belt fed semi-auto gun with quick detachable bbl. Currently equipped with a semi-auto pistol grip assembly. If one had the appropriate full auto trigger pack, this would be one hell of a machine gun! Marked "XG3S FMP V237" on top of receiver and on right side below feed way "MODEL 21" with Vollmer Mfg address. Equipped with a vertical foregrip and heavy duty rear sight with composite buttstock and pistol grip, this rifle is designed for heavy duty use. Firing mechanism moves smoothly when operated by hand. Feed mechanism as well as rest of gun appears fully functional. PROVENANCE: From the Estate Collection of Noted Discerning Firearms Enthusiast, Donald W. Dix, Jr. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish extremely fine to near excellent, orig finish with some brassing and loss of finish in an area of about 1-1/2" to the rear of the ejection port with some slight areas of high edge wear at bipod attachment points. Feed mechanism and feed way exhibit loss of finish where a belt has obviously been running through this gun. Other areas of high edge wear at buttstock, assembly edge, and forward edge of metal where hand grip attaches. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Composite furnishings near excellent with a couple of very light scuffs. It would be pretty hard to improve on this 308 projectile launching system. 51794-10 JWK
