Engraved and Silver Plated National Arms Co. Second Model Derringer with Brass Frame The National Arms Company manufactured an estimated 12,000 of these Second Model derringers starting in 1865 before being purchased by Colt in 1870. The top of the barrel has the one line address with the serial number on the underside. It has the standard scroll engraving and checkered walnut grips. This example does not have the extractor and is fitted with a blade front sight. The grips are also very fine with some slight scuffs on the raised areas. The markings are crisp, and the action is excellent.
