Cased Engraved Colt No. 1 Derringer Manufactured from 1870 to 1890. The top of the barrel has the standard two line Hartford address followed by "No.1" in between a pair of Maltese crosses. The frame has the standard engraving and checkered panels on the grip area. The letter "G" is stamped ahead of the trigger, and the barrel has the serial number on the bottom. It comes in a fitted hardwood case with blue velvet interior and cartridge block containing six rounds of "U" marked ammunition. Manufacturer: Colt Model: #1 Derringer BBL: 2 1/2 inch irregular Stock: Gauge: 41 RF Finish: unknown Grips: metal Serial Number: 3740 Class: Antique Condition: Fair. The pistol has a gray patina with patches of mild pitting. The address is crisp, but the serial number has been partially obliterated by scratches. The action remains fine. The case is good with some repaired cracks, minor exterior wear and stained interior.
