Cased Excellent Deane Adams & Deane Double Action Revolver with Accessories The top strap and top barrel flat are marked "DEANE ADAMS & DEANE. (MAKERS TO H.R.H. PRINCE ALBERT) 30, KING WILLIAM STt LONDON BRIDGE." The sides of the frame feature engraved scrollwork, and the right side of the frame is marked "ADAMS'S PATENT No. 1486." The front strap is marked with the number "1486" above the engraved letter "R." Additional engraved scrollwork appears on the back strap, trigger guard and buttcap. "Crown/V" proofs are stamped on the cylinder between the chambers. Blue finished barrel, frame, trigger guard, left in the white bobbed hammer, niter blue hammer safety and casehardened cylinder. Fitted with a checkered grip with a clam shell engraved compartment. The partitioned case is lined in green felt and contains an ebony handled nipple wrench, plain Hawksley powder flask, two cavity brass bullet mold, ramrod, oiler, Deane Adams & Deane percussion cap tin and W.E. London No. 12 percussion cap tin. The revolver retains 95% bright original high polished blue finish with the balance between smooth brown and gray patina and showing some minor handling marks. The cylinder retains 85% original vivid case colors, otherwise faded to a gray. The grip is also excellent with a few nicks in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case is good with a number of extensive handling/storage marks visible on the exterior, loose partitioned walls and high spot wear to the lining.
