Lou Dempsey is President of Dempsey Auction Company, overseeing day to day operations; and coordinating all sales and marketing efforts. He is a 3rd-generation Roman (Darlington 87) and a 3rd-generation auctioneer. Lou attended Auburn University, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, AU Marketing Association, and the National Marketing Association. He graduated in 1992 with a BA in Marketing/Management. Prior to returning to the Family Business, he served as a marketing and sales associate with an out-of-state firm. Lou continues to believe in his grandfather, Sproull Dempsey, Srs motto that Nothing Succeeds like Success. Lou and his daughter, Georgeanna Ray, and son, Chase Tolbert, reside in Rome.
