The Singing Auctioneer

Anne-Lynn has been an auctioneer and personal property appraiser since 1978. She sells real estate, personal property, jewelry, and antiques (from furniture to glassware). She is the first woman auctioneer in the state of Maryland, first woman in Maryland to recieve CAI designation, and the first woman nationally to serve on the board of the National Auctioneers Foundation. She, along with George Michael began oral interviews with auctioneers in business 25 years+.

Anne-lynn was a music teacher in the Frederick County Public Schools for 10 years. During that time she went to Missouri Auction School where she discovered that she could use her music background with her auctioneering chant. in 1980 she sang at the auctioneer's convention in Nashville where the Associated Press picked up on her title and carried articles about her across the nation. From that came radio interviews, newspaper coverage, and phone calls for national TV. She was on To Tell the Truth as both an impersonator for a one woman bat squad, and ended up being the REAL Singing Auctioneer. The show ended with Anne-Lynn's performance of "Last Call Sold", a song written for her by a Broadway composer John Lehmann.
