Rod grew up on a small ranch in New Plymouth, ID where he and his family raised registered purebred Herefords. During this time was when he had the opportunity to be impacted by quality auctioneers like Ken Troutt, Sr. With a strong desire and a love for auctions, Rod began his career as an auctioneer in 1996.
Since then, he has been recognized as the 1998 IAPA Rookie Champion Auctioneer and the 2000 IAPA Champion Auctioneer. In addition, he has served the IAPA in then capacity of President and District Director.
Rod understands the need for education and in January of 2012 received an MBA in Entrepreneurship from American Military University. His auctioneer education is an on-going event. He has achieved the professional designations of CAI and GPPA.
