A book recalling the history of the people of Tel-Aviv when they were driven out by the Turks.
On 30.3.19017 the Turks issued a deportation order for the residents of Tel-Aviv, fearing they might assist the approaching British.
The exiles were organized by the Deportation Committee headed by Meir Dizengoff and they left by carriages to Petach-Tikva. Some found refuge in the southern settlements while the students of the Gymnasium found refuge at the Shfaya Holiday Village. After Passover, the Turks demanded that the exiles of Tel-Aviv continue north. They were forced to move to Kfar-Saba, Hiafa, Zichron-Ya'akov, Tzemach and onwards to the settlements of the Galilee. The lack of a roof's over their head and the illnesses which were their lot caused the exiles much suffering. Meir Dizengoff, the head of the Committee and later on, the mayor, described the journey of the residents of his city in the book before us.
The three last pages of the book are "An Announcement of Tel-Aviv Museum".
Before us is the first edition of the book. In 2008, a photographic edition of this publication was printed.
