Winchester Model 21 Trap Grade Double Barrel Shotgun Manufactured circa 1950. Dual bead sights on the matte solid rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. The barrel flat is marked with the matching serial number, each side is marked with a Winchester oval proof, and the Winchester proof steel barrels are marked "FULL" and "FULL." The left barrel near the breech is marked "MODEL 21- WINCHESTER/-TRADE MARK--12 GAUGE 2 3/4 CHAM". The trigger plate is stamped "TRAP" (seldom encountered) above the screw, and the water table is stamped with the Winchester oval proof and the three-line Made in U.S.A., model/ address marking on the left side. The matching serial number is also marked on the upper tang, forearm hardware and wood. Single trigger with selector and a tang mounted manual safety. Mounted on a nicely figured checkered beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock with a Winchester grip cap and a solid Winchester recoil pad. The barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .731/.730 inch; bore constriction .036/.036 inch; minimum wall thickness .041/.035 inch; drop at comb 1 3/8 inches; drop at heel 2 inches; length of pull 14 inches; cast neutral. The wood is fine with numerous minor nicks and scratches on the stock, a few minor pressure dents on the forearm, and overall very crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear.
