Exceptional Documented Factory Engraved Winchester Model 21 Deluxe Double Barrel Shotgun with Cody Research Letter The included Cody Firearms Museum records sheet confirms the serial number, major features including configuration, #4 engraving, and stock, as well as giving an inspection finished date of July 7, 1949. Features dual bead sights on the matte rib with 2 3/4 inch chambers, selective auto ejectors, standard markings, Winchester "WP" proofs and "DE LUXE" marking on the flats, and full/full chokes. The receiver is factory engraved in the 21-4 pattern with a pair of ducks on the right, grouse on the left, and a pair of hunting dogs on the underside. The bird and dog scenes are further accented by splashes of fine floral and scroll engraving including the upper tang, break lever, and trigger guard. Multi-point checkered, matching numbered beavertail forearm with engraved fittings, and pistol grip buttstock with hard rubber Winchester grip cap, brass initial oval inscribed "W/L/G", and solid rubber Winchester recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .731/.731 inch; minimum wall thickness .029/.029 inch; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 1 7/8 inches; length of pull 14 inches.
