Scarce and Desirable Cased First Year Production Winchester Model 20 .410 Bore Youth Skeet Shotgun Set with Accessories Manufactured in 1919, the first year of production. Designed by Winchester to utilize their expanded production facilities after World War I and marketed as a youth skeet gun. Features a single bead sight, 2 1/2 inch chamber, and full choke. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the two line address/patent applied for marking followed by "MOD.20-.410," and "FULL" is on the left side at the breech. The Winchester oval proof is marked on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech and the matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver and trigger guard. Mounted on a smooth Schnabel tip forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered Winchester hard rubber buttplate. The skeet set includes a 100 count cardboard box of Winchester "Midget Size" clay targets (approximately 93 in the box), a wood handled Winchester "Midget Hand Trap", a can of Winchester gun oil, tube of Winchester gun grease with box, a tube of Winchester rust remover with box, 6 sealed 25 count boxes of .410 paper shot shotgun shells, two piece wooden handled cleaning rod, "How To Use And Care For" booklet, a "A whole new field of sport" pamphlet and a pad of score sheets. The stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 13 1/2 inches. The Model 20 is uncommon with only about 24,000 manufactured. A nearly complete Youth Skeet Outfit is certainly much more scarce. The wood is also very fine with scattered minor dents, dings and scratches. The markings are sharp. Mechanically excellent. The case and all of the accessories are fine or better. The oil can has a small dent, the rust remover and grease boxes are stained, the grease box has a tear, and the rust remover box has a separated lid.
