Wheeler British Flintlock Musket This Brown Bess style musket fits the India Pattern widely used in the British Empire at the end of the 18th century and well into the 19th century. It is marked "WHEELER" on the tail of the lock and King George's "crown/GR" cipher below the pan. The barrel has a bayonet stud that doubles as the front sight and two cross scepter proofmarks. The stock has a small "JL" mark on the left flat near the tail.
