Well-Documented Cased Consecutive Pair of Tom Hicks Master Engraved and Silver Plated Isaias Aguilar Miniature Colt Model 1851 Navy Percussion Revolvers with Patriotic Eagle Carved Ivory Grips -A) Engraved and Silver Plated Miniature Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver Well-Documented Cased Consecutive Pair of Tom Hicks Master Engraved and Silver Plated Isaias Aguilar Miniature Colt Model 1851 Navy Percussion Revolvers with Patriotic Eagle Carved Ivory Grips -A) Engraved and Silver Plated Miniature Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver Offered here is an impressive cased consecutively serial numbered pair of approximately 1/2 scale silver plated miniature replicas of the legendary Colt Model 1851 Navy percussion revolver manufactured c. late 20th century by Isaias Aguilar and engraving executed by Master Engraver Tom Hicks. Both revolvers are fitted with an ivory grip with a relief carved patriotic eagle and shield on the left of the "A" miniature, and a relief carved patriotic eagle without shield on the left of the "B" miniature. The high quality engraving on both revolvers consists of floral scroll patterns, clamshell designs, and line and dot bands on the cylinders. "-ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA" stamped on top of the barrels. The matching visible serial number "78" is marked on the bottom of the barrel, frame, trigger guard, and butt. Includes a leather wrapped hardwood display case with blue felt lined interior fitted for the pair of revolvers and the miniature dual cavity bullet mold, powder flask and "L" shaped combination tool. This exact pair of miniatures are pictured and described on page 211 of “The Art of Miniature Firearms: Centuries of Craftsmanship”.
