The vessel features a globular body decorated with vertical fluting, shaped by Eric Owen and glazed by Norman Wilson. It is finished in a uniform, semi-matte gray monochrome glaze, identified by an underside label as an experimental glaze by Norman Wilson that was not in general production. The matching domed lid has corresponding fluting and is topped with a spherical finial. The teapot is designed with a simple loop handle and a curved spout. The base bears a circular printed mark Wedgwood Etruria & Barlston. An adhesive typed label states: #1847 Teapot, shape by Eric Owen, glaze by Norman Wilson (not in production), Circa 1953. A circular sticker for the RUBIN COLLECTION is also present on the base. Dimensions: 8.50"L x 5.50"W x 6.50"H
