Excellent World War II German Walther (ac Code) K43 Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle with ZF4 Sniper Scope and Mount This is a late WWII K43 rifle manufactured by the Walther factory in 1944/45 that has been fitted with a ZF4 sniper scope and mount. It has the rough cast, unmachined receiver with the single bolt guide marked on the left side "Eagle/359/K43/ac" followed by the serial number "7926m". It has the rough cast bolt cover with the hollow cocking knob and hold open latch on the right side. It has the late stamped action cover with sliding dust cover. It is fitted with a laminated stock and handguard, and a sheet metal cupped buttplate on the end of the stock. The stock has a faint single "Eagle/359" Waffenamt on the left side with a single Waffenamt proof in the pistol grip area and underside of the stock. It has the late-war rough cast scope mount that is stamped in the middle with a single Eagle/359 Waffenamt proof. The front end is etched with serial number "8556" (non-matching), and it is fitted with a ZF4 scope is marked on the side "Gw ZF 4/16373/ddx" and the locking lever marked "fest/lose". The scope is fitted with a set of black leather lens covers. The rifle is complete with a box magazine marked "aye/K43" on the side. It is complete with a sheet metal front sight cover and cleaning rod. The stock and handguard are both in very fine condition with a nice dark oil finish on the wood mixed with some heavier pressure dents/marks on the left side of the forend and buttstock with some minor marks on top of the handguard. The mount retains 98% of its original dark rough cast type finish with the scope retaining 97% of its original blue finish with slight blue loss and browning on the ends from the caps. The optics are viewable but a little occluded.
