The vintage sterling silver cigarette case (or business card holder) dates from the early 1900's in Attleboro, MA., and was made by the R. Blackinton Company. It is hallmarked 'Sterling' and has the R. Blackinton logo (B with Sword through it) and '1299'. There is a monogram in navy blue on the front 'H.D.C.' The case is curved to fit into a pocket and measures 3-3/16" x 2-1/2" and was made with the very high standard that the company was known for. It is in nice condition for a piece this old with a shallow dent on the front (upper right). This does not detract from this beautiful hand crafted piece.
