This is an awesome piece ... Vintage Louie Glass Art Deco Cobalt Blue Harpo Pitcher It's a beauty, standing roughly 9" tall, it comes from the 1930s, and the Louie Glass Company It's in an Art Deco mode, bulbous blue cobalt glass, with an reeded-crystal applied handle. And, yes, it was named the "Harpo Pitcher" after the infamous Harpo Marx, of the legenday Marx Brothers, by Hazel Marie Weatherman, in her book on Depression era glass. Unfortunately, the client we procurred this from no longer had the equally cobalt blue, bulbous Tumblers that went with the Harpo Pitcher, but you may be able to find them on-line somewhere, if you want the full set. Standing alone, though, the Vintage Louie Glass Art Deco Cobalt Blue Harpo Pitcher is an awesome sight, and will add a sparkling Retro element to any setting.
