This is an awesome piece ... Vintage Kinkaku-ji ("Temple of the Golden Pavilion") Silk Art This comes from, somewhere in the Early 1900s, the latest, from the 1930's. There's a Frame Designer's sticker on back that dates to to this period, the artwork could be significantly older. This Kinkaku-ji or "Temple of the Golden Pavilion" is officially named Rokuon-ji (????, lit. "Deer Garden Temple"), is an actually edfice, located in Kyoto, Japan. It has a rich history and was actualy burned down by a mentally-ill monk. We've had a few clients that have been to it and say it is an awesome sight
