These are major cool! Very Vintage 1926 Prints of MIT We don't like to use the "Rare" very often, but these Prints, certainly, qualify. They were etched by Samuel Chamberlain, class of '18 and published in the 1926 'Technology Review' Chamberlain, who served in WWI, went on be be a Faculty Member in the Department of Architecture (1934-1946), and had a prolific career, working in pencil sketches, watercolors, lithography, etching, drypoint, and photography, as well as an author The sketches are of; The President's Garden, Atkinson Hall Class of '85 Flagpole Base in Du Pont Court I. Rogers Building The Power Plant Western Pylons From The River Way The Dome From Du Pont Court Vista From The Main Lobby From The Bursar's Office: The Eastern Arm I. The Dome From Du Pont Court The Main Portico VII. The Dome From Building Three VIII. Rogers Common Room V. Walker Memorial Facade III. Second Floor Lobby VI. Runkle Hall: Dormitories IV. The President's Driveway There are 16 prints, most in good condition, a few that have some dirt, and some bottom edges are showing signs of wear. This would be an outstanding get for a collector of Vintage Sketches or, Vintage College items, and/or of MIT specifically. They would make a great gift to anyone who has a family member, or friend, who is an Alum of MIT.
