Mid 20th Century; Original, size 3.5, Stamped 10% IRID PLAT, lady's cast diamond princess style ring with a knife edge shank with a polished finish. The princess ring is early 1900's antique with an estimated total weight of 1.33 ct. The ring is centered by (3) Old European cut diamonds, one @ .40 ct (est. weight) in the middle of two approximately 0.30 ct. Old European cut diamonds, all set in fourteen beads. Around the three diamonds is an elongated, navette shaped frame of (18) single cut Old European cut diamonds in fishtail settings. The ring has an open back. The ring measures 10.88 mm wide x 17.43 mm long at the top and sits 5.26 mm off the finger with an open back. the band measures 2.75 mm wide at the shoulders and 1.62 mm wide at the back of the band. Identified with marking sof "10% IRID PLAT". Contains: (1) Old European cut diamond, measuring 4.68 - 4.60 x 2.95 mm (depth est.) approximate weight of 0.41 ct., color of M - N, clarity of SI-2, cut is good. Depth is 63.6%, table is 53.2%, polish is fair symmetry is fair. (1) Old European cut diamond, measuring 4.43 - 4.24 x 2.40 mm (depth est.) approximate weight of 0.29ct., color of M- N, clarity of I- 1, cut is good, depth is 55.3%, table is 48.4%, polish is good symmetry is good. (1) Old European cut diamond, measuring 4.53 - 3.92 x 2.65 mm (depth est.) approximate weight of 0.30 ct., color of M- N, clarity of VS-2 to SI-1, cut is fair, depth is 62.7%, table is 52.0%, polish is good, symmetry is fair. (18) Old European single cut diamonds, measuring 1.90 - 1.50 x 1.05 mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 18 stones = 0.33 ct., color of M -O, clarity of I-1, cut is good.
