Collector's Lot of Two Schwarzlose Model 1908 Semi-Automatic Pistols -A) Schwarzlose Model 1908 Pistol Collector's Lot of Two Schwarzlose Model 1908 Semi-Automatic Pistols -A) Schwarzlose Model 1908 Pistol Manufactured 1908-1911, the Schwarzlose 1908 uses an uncommon "blow forward" action where the breech and cartridge remain stationary in firing, and the barrel is driven forward by a combination of gas pressure and projectile friction. Fixed sights, "A.W.Schwarzlose G.m.b.H. Berlin" in script on the left side of the frame, "SCHWARZLOSE" in an arc over a machine gun logo on the right, "crown/N" proofs and checkered grips. The interior of the frame is numbered "3003". Manufacturer: Schwarzlose Andreas Model: 08 BBL: 4 inch round Stock: Gauge: 7.65 mm auto Finish: blue Grips: hard rubber Serial Number: NSN Class: Curio & Relic Handgun Condition: Very good, with 85% of the period refinished rust blue finish showing some bright edge wear and mild handling marks. The grips are very good with a few minor scuffs. Mechanically needs work as the slide only retracts half way. B) Schwarzlose Model 1908 Pistol Similar to A, with an additional one-line patent marking on the left side of the frame, "WARNER ARMS CORPORATION/BROOKLYN, N.Y. U.S.A." on the right "WAC" monogram grips and the magazine reconfigured for a push-button latch. The slide is internally numbered "1179". Manufacturer: Schwarzlose Andreas Model: 08 BBL: 4 1/8 inch round Stock: Gauge: 7.65 mm auto Finish: blue Grips: hard rubber Serial Number: NSN Class: Curio & Relic Handgun Condition: Very good, with 60% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, bright edge wear and scattered spotting and handling marks overall. The grips are fine, with a few light scratches. Mechanically functions, but needs minor work as the striker does not always drop.
