Medium Frame Double Action Revolver with Scarce Blue Finish and Pearl Grips Collector's Lot of Two Merwin, Hulbert & Co. Revolvers with Boxes -A) Merwin, Hulbert & Co. Medium Frame Double Action Revolver with Scarce Blue Finish and Pearl Grips Manufactured in the 1880s with only a few thousand produced. This example has a blue finish (standard finish was nickel), flat butt with lanyard ring, folding hammer spur, standard markings and matching numbers on the cylinder, butt and barrel. Comes with an un-numbered factory box with "Folding Hammer" and correct model end labels. The model label references an extra 3 inch barrel which is not included. Manufacturer: Merwin Hulbert & Co Model: Pocket BBL: 5 1/2 inch solid rib Stock: Gauge: 38 CF Finish: blue Grips: pearl Serial Number: 29213 Class: Antique Condition: Fine. The revolver retains 50% bright original high polish blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The grips are excellent with a couple missing very tiny chips and highly attractive color. Mechanically excellent. The box is good with some split corners and a tear on the lid. Half of the "Folding Hammer" label remains and much of the model label remains. B) Merwin, Hulbert & Co. Medium Frame Spur Trigger Revolver This is an early production example with exposed cylinder pin, scoop cylinder flutes, recoil shield with loading channel and 3 1/2 inch barrel. It has standard markings and matching assembly numbers on the cylinder, barrel, right grip panel and grip frame. Comes with an un-numbered factory box featuring an instructions label on the interior of the lid. Manufacturer: Merwin Hulbert & Co Model: Single Action BBL: 3 1/2 inch solid rib Stock: Gauge: 38 CF Finish: nickel Grips: hard rubber Serial Number: 2097 Class: Antique Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 90% original nickel finish with flaking on the balance. The grips are also excellent showing some minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine showing some scattered wear and retaining much of the instructions label.
