Democratic Republic of Congo. Semicircular carved wood box with relief hand on fittted lid, and a smaller semicircular box with animal horn motif in relief on lid and varied engraved patterns. The smaller box shows more age and use, with dark brown patina and deposits. Hand box: 9.25" L × 5" R × 2.5" H (23.5 cm L × 12.7 cm R × 6.35 cm H), Geometric Box: 9.625" L × 3.5" R × 2.25" H (24.45 cm L × 8.89 cm R × 5.72 cm H).
