THREE PURINA DOG CHOW ADVERTISING POSTERS
One is a 1935 poster by Kissack with a hunter shooting ducks beside two pointers, "For Condition FEED DOG CHOW - Handy to Feed on Hunting Trips", lower right with a blue and white checkered sack of "Purina DOG CHOW - Checkers". Another a 1936 poster with two pointers by Clarence Fawcett, "Now Dog Chow is Fortified with - Pur-A-Tene - Builds Up Endurance for Hunting!", lower right with a red and white checkered sack of "Purina Dog Chow". The last a smaller 1940s poster by Francis Tipton Hunter for "Ralston Wheat Cereal". All unframed.

  • Provenance: Estate of Mr. Clarence Calhoun Fawcett
  • Dimensions: 26 1/2 x 35 in. (67.3 x 88.9 cm.), And: 38 x 25.10 in. (96.5 x 63.8 cm.)
  • Condition: Checkers poster with tape remnants to all four corners, tear at bottom margins 10.5" in from left corner, with other small tears along the edge.
    Pur-A-Tene poster with small tears at both upper corners, small tape remnants lower corners and center of lower edge, edge tear 4" above lower right corner, foxing full width across the bottom that reaches up about 7".
    Wheat Ceral is very good with two folds (folded in quarters).

Shipment is the full responsibility of the buyer. Selkirk will not be responsible for any loss, damage, theft, or otherwise responsible for any items left in Selkirk's possession fifteen (15) days after the sale. If arrangements for shipping have not been made and communicated within thirty (30) days, Selkirk reserves the right, at this time, to charge a storage fee of $10 per lot per day for furniture and large format items and $5 per lot per day for all other items, and within sixty (60) days, at its own discretion, sell any items left on the premises. Accumulated fees resulting from storage and insurance cost will be taken out of any proceeds.

Objects that contain materials of endangered or protected species may be subject to regulations disallowing export and import into other states or countries. It is the buyer's responsibility to be aware of all applicable laws and regulations and to obtain any required export or import licenses or certificates and any other required documentation.
