Three unique volumes of bound manuscripts and graphic material relating to Theodore Roosevelt, compiled by Albany autograph collector and newspaper reporter John E. Boos (1879-1974). Octavo, 6.75" x 9". Albany: John E. Boos, 1925-1932. 71pp (Vol. 1); 118pp (Vol. 2); 106pp (Vol. 3). Highlighted within is a print signed by the former President (Vol. 1, pg 17), with additional tributes signed by First Lady Edith Roosevelt and four of their children, as well as running mates Hiram Johnson and John Parker. Original half morocco, featuring expected rubbing and shelf wear throughout. Scattered foxing evident to page edges. Intermittent toning and creasing to interior. Else, very good.

The lot comprises of the following:

1.) "The Stampede of the Moose Herd in 1912." 71 leaves. Albany, compiled 1927. Featuring a print of Roosevelt signed by the ex-president in 1913 (page 17). Also included are signed tributes to Roosevelt by his 1912 running mate Hiram W. Johnson (pages 21-22) and 1916 running mate John M. Parker (page 26), with additional signed tributes to Abraham Lincoln by First Lady Edith Kermit Roosevelt (page 42) and children Theodore (page 46), Kermit (page 50), Ethel (page 52), and Archibald (page 57).

2.) "Tributes to a Rough Rider, A-D." 118 leaves. Albany, complied 1925. Includes signed sentiments regarding Roosevelt by Michael Mansion, Henry Couden, Forrest Prettyman, Lyman Abbott, William Barnes, William Borah, William Cary Brown, Alexander Brodie, Lytle Brown, Omar Bundy, Champ Clark, Joseph Cannon, William Calder, Ledyard Cogwell, John Chidwick, George E. Chamberlain, Con Cronin, Charles Crawford, Charles Curtis, Joseph Chamberlin, James B. Connolly, Timothy Cole, Albert C. Dalton, James Roscoe Day, Chauncey Depew, Ira Delong, Robert C. Davis, and Warrington Dawson.

3.) "Some Pictures of a Man Who Wielded a Big Stick." 106 pages. Albany, compiled 1932. Scrapbook of cartoons and news photos of Roosevelt, 1910-31.

Unless otherwise indicated, we do our own in-house world-wide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses that proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with a signature required option, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.

Third-Party Shipping Option: If a third-party shipper is preferred, the buyer is responsible for contacting them directly to make shipping arrangements. For your convenience, we have provided some recommended shippers. For your protection, we will require a signed release from you, confirming your authorization for us to release your lots to your specified third-party. At that point, our responsibility and insurance coverage for your item(s) ceases. Items picked up by third-party shippers are required to pay Connecticut sales tax. Items requiring third-party shipping due to being oversized, fragile or bulky will be denoted in the item description.
