Rare Early Production 3 Digit Serial Number "363" DWM Model 1900 Swiss Contract Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with Unrelieved Frame This is a very desirable early "three-digit " example of a Swiss Contract DWM Model 1900 Luger with the "unrelieved frame". This example is one of only 2,000 Model 1900 Swiss Lugers manufactured with all of them having early desirable features like the larger flat safety lever with the coarse checkering, narrow trigger, dished toggles with toggle lock, flat/recessed breech bolt, no stock lug, grip safety, short frame and barrel extension with the flat mainspring and fast taper 4 3/4 inch barrel. The top of the chamber area is stamped with the "Swiss Cross" in a sunburst, and the front toggle is marked "DWM". The left side of the barrel extension, breech bolt and toggle train are all stamped with the correct "Crown/B and U" proofmarks, with the underside of the barrel stamped with the Crown "B", "U" and "G" proofmarks. The full serial number (363) is stamped on the front of the frame and underside of the barrel. The various other parts to include the barrel extension, recoil lug and rounded back side of the takedown lever are stamped with the last two digits (63) of the serial number. This example still retains the original early "V" notch rear sight and early Swiss pattern "V" front sight. It is fitted with a set of checkered walnut grips, and the back side of each grip panel is numbered "63". It is complete with one correct early nickel plated magazines with the flat loading button and the unmarked wooden base. The extra magazine has a modified loading button. Manufacturer: DWM Model: 1900 BBL: 4 3/4 inch round Stock: Gauge: 7.65 mm Luger Auto Finish: blue Grips: walnut checkered Serial Number: 363 Class: Curio & Relic Handgun Condition: Excellent with 95% of the blue finish overall with only minor edge and high spot wear overall. The left frame rail directly above the takedown lever shows some roughness along the edge mixed with some minor blue loss in the same area. The smaller parts retain 75% plus of their original straw colors overall with slightly more in the protected areas. The grips are very fine condition with nice, distinct, sharp checkering overall with a few minor handling marks and one light pressure dent on the right side directly behind the magazine release button. A very nice looking, early production DWM Model 1900 Swiss Contract Luger Pistol.
