Excellent World War II U.S. Stevens 520-30 Trench Gun This is an excellent example of a WWII U.S. Army contract Stevens Model 520-30 shotgun in a trench gun configuration with the correct bayonet lug adaptor and ventilated handguard. The left side of the barrel has the three-line address (partially obscured by the handguard) along with "P/Ordnance Bomb" at the breech. The left side also has the two-line gauge markings of: "PROOF TESTED-12 GAUGE/-2 3/4 INCH CHAMBER-", and the barrel choke gauges correctly at a "Cylinder" bore. The left side of the receiver is stamped "MOD. 520-30", and it has the correct "P" proof on the barrel and front edge of the receiver. The lower left side also has the correct "P/Ordnance Bomb" proof. It is correctly serial numbered "55933" on the rear end of the trigger guard tang. It has an all blue finish with smooth forearm and pistol grip stock with a black plastic buttplate. The stock and bayonet lug are correctly fitted with sling swivels. The bayonet lug is the correct Stevens pink color due to its alloy metal construction but lacks the correct "S" type marking. Manufacturer: Stevens J Arms Co Model: 520 BBL: 20 inch round Stock: walnut Gauge: 12 Finish: blue Grips: Serial Number: 55933 Class: Curio & Relic Long Gun Condition: Excellent with 95% of the original blue finish overall with only light handling wear on the magazine tube, mixed with some thinning and browning on the lower area of the magazine tube and the side of the receiver. The pump handle and buttstock are both in very fine condition with a nice original oil finish, showing minor scratches and handling marks on the rear end of the buttstock. A solid example of a WWII Stevens model 520-30 trench shotgun.
