Series of 1934-A $1,000 Federal Reserve Note Grover Cleveland was only on the $1,000 note in the series of 1928 and series of 1934. This note is from the Federal Reserve bank of Chicago. Less than 165,372 total $1,000 bills remain since most were destroyed when the large denomination bills were removed from circulation in 1969. They were made obsolete by electronic transactions and were previously mostly used to move funds from one bank to another. Most that survive are not in this high condition level. This note is serial number "G00223994 A" and is consecutively numbered with the next lot.
