Scarce DWM Model 1900 Commercial Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with Blank Chamber Manufactured for commercial sale circa 1900-01, this example bears the "GERMANY" stamp applied to pistols shipped to the United States. Blade front and notch rear sights, a scarce blank chamber top (most 1900s had either an American Eagle or Swiss Cross) and the "DWM" monogram on the front toggle. The underside of the fast-taper barrel has the crowned "B", "G", and "U" proofs over "172,28" and the serial number. The "B" and "U" are repeated on the left side of the extension and front toggle, "B" on the breech, and "commercial style" external numbering. Equipped with a recessed breechblock, dished toggles with integral lock, early style flat checkered safety switch with bright polished lower position, magazine hold-open, straw finished small parts with niter blue screws and pins, half-width grip safety, smooth back strap, checkered walnut grips and a nickel finished magazine with "GERMANY" marked walnut base. Manufacturer: DWM Model: 1900 BBL: 4 3/4 inch round Stock: Gauge: 7.65 mm Luger Auto Finish: blue Grips: walnut Serial Number: 4045 Class: Curio & Relic Handgun Condition: Very fine as professionally restored with 98% of the blue finish showing some light handling marks overall. The screws show 75% plus fiery color, and the straw components retain 95% plus vivid golden yellow. Grips are also very fine with a few light dings and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. A very attractive, professionally restored example of a seldom encountered 1900 Luger variation!
