Author: Robert Frost - Robert Frost was an American poet. His work was initially published in England before it was published in America. Known for his realistic depictions of rural life and his command of American colloquial speech, Frost frequently wrote about settings from rural life in New England in the early twentieth century, using them to examine complex social and philosophical themes.

Frost was honored frequently during his lifetime, receiving four Pulitzer Prizes for Poetry. He became one of America's rare "public literary figures, almost an artistic institution." Book Details: This limited edition volume is signed by the iconic New England poet Robert Frost. The book is bound by decorative teal paper covered boards which feature a floral pattern. The title and author's name are emblazoned in gilt letters on the cloth spine cover. A newspaper clipped portrait of Frost is enclosed in the text. The book comes with a matching protective slipcase.

Frosts signature appears in ink on the limitation page which reads: "This edition has been limited to seven hundred and thirty-five copies and signed by the author. This copy is number 398."

Frost was an immensely successful poet who won 4 Pulitzer Prizes for poetry, received the Congressional Gold Medal for his poetic works, and was named Poet Laureate of Vermont. His work is defined by its unique examination of nature and its connection to humanity. Wikipedia quotes "Contemporary Literary Criticism" saying, "Frost's best work explores fundamental questions of existence, depicting with chilling starkness the loneliness of the individual in an indifferent universe."

Condition / Notes: This volume shows exceptionally well displaying virtually no immediately detectable indications of age and wear on its boards. The slipcase exhibits slight signs of rubbing and shelfwear. The front paste-down bears a bookplate and the front free endpaper is signed by a former owner. The pages are well preserved and show little toning. Frost's signature is bold and clear in black ink.
