Robbins & Lawrence U.S. Model 1841 Percussion "Mississippi Rifle" Standard Robbins & Lawrence U.S. contract rifle dated "1851" at the tail of the lock and re-bored for .58 caliber Minie balls with sabre bayonet stud on right side of barrel, near muzzle. The left side of the stock has "REX" hand carved near the butt. Many of the late production "Mississippi" rifles were used during the opening years of the Civil War, especially in the South.
