Excellent Remington Model 1875 Single Action Revolver in Desirable 44-40 Caliber Manufactured from 1875 to 1889. The one-line Ilion address is stamped on top of the barrel. The left grip panel is stamped "44," indicating that the caliber is .44-40. The serial number is marked on the left side of the grip frame under the grip panel. The Model 1875 Single Action revolver was Remington's attempt to compete with the Colt Single Action Army. Many of these revolvers saw hard use in the Old West, and high condition examples such as this revolver are difficult to find. Manufacturer: E.
