An elegant circular occasional table by the celebrated French designer and master ironworker Raymond Subes. The finely wrought patinated iron frame is composed of three sculptural scrolling supports terminating in boldly rolled feet, joined by a circular mirrored undertier. The smoked églomisé mirrored top complements the refined architectural form, exemplifying Subes’ mastery of combining graceful curves with the restrained sophistication of the French Art Deco movement.
Renowned for his exceptional wrought iron commissions for luxury residences, ocean liners, and prestigious public buildings, Raymond Subes is regarded as one of the foremost French metalworkers of the twentieth century.
