The Oregon Boot is a heavy metal shackle, approx. 30 pounds, that is attached to a prisonors leg to impede movement. The shackle was invented by the Warden of Oregon State Pen. The shackle has a frame that is screwedto the sole of the prisoner's shoe and then the weight is clamped around the prisoner's ankle and is rested on the top of the frame. The Oreon Boot was made by Art-Burnside Police Goods of Spokane, Washington. Thispaticular boot was used at the Pontiac Correctional Center in Pontiac Illinois from 1880-1930. Comes with boot frame attached to boot, the metal weight, ankle weight tool, and leather carry case.

Shipping

Packing and Shipping

We handle all shipping in house at our facility at the cost of the buyer. We use USPS and FedEx for shipping, and will ship as cheap as possible for the buyer. We charge $25 per hour for labor to pack and prepare items for shipment, plus shipping and packaging material.

Larger items such as cars, pianos, large furniture pieces, etc. that cannot be shipped USPS or FedEx, we have a list of third party shippers who will deliver to your home. We also do freight shipping by pallet for large orders. With these larger shipments it can take us some time to get them out as we have so many small packages to go out, so please be patient and we will work with you to get it out. You are always more then welcome as a buyer to use your owning shipping company, but you are responsible to have them pick it up at our facility within a week of the auction.
