No in-house shipping available; third-party shipper recommended. Rare early 20th-century Revigator stoneware water dispenser in the desirable white porcelain finish, complete with original spigot. Manufactured by the Radium Ore Revigator Company as a "health water" vessel, these unique crocks were designed to infuse drinking water with naturally occurring radon gas from radium-bearing ore—a fascinating relic from the era when radioactivity was promoted for its supposed therapeutic benefits. Today, Revigators are highly collectible pieces of medical, scientific, and advertising history. Displays beautifully and makes an outstanding conversation piece for collectors of early medical devices, scientific instruments, uranium glass, radioactive memorabilia, or unusual Americana. Please inspect photos for overall condition. Slightly radioactive. Measures H 14 x W 8 inches.
