Factory Reno Greco Signed and Engraved Belgian Browning 20 Gauge Diana Grade Lightning Superposed Skeet Shotgun Manufactured in 1967. Built with blued Special Steel barrels featuring a single bead sight on the matted flat vent rib, light engraving at the upper breech, chokes marked "**$"/"**$" (skeet/skeet), and chambers marked 3 inches with ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the French grey finished action which is engraved in the Diana Grade pattern with flowing scroll designs surrounding four game scenes depicting a flock of mallards in a marsh on the right, a nide of pheasants in a wooded scene on the left, a pair of quail on the underside, and a pair of rabbits on the trigger guard all in fine detail with matted backgrounds to create contrast. The engraving is signed "R.GRECO" on the left side below the scene for FN engraver Reno Greco. The gun features a single gold trigger and tang mounted safety/selector with gold "S", "O", and "U" indicators. The gun is fitted with a beautifully figured and multi-point checkered Lightning forend with engraved iron as well as a short tang flat knob pistol grip stock with a Pachmayr White-Line recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .623/.624 inches; choke constriction .004/.004 inches; minimum wall thickness inches; 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 1 7/8 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 1 oz.

  • Condition: Very fine, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with minor handling evidence, some minor oxidation at the wood to metal fit, and some dried grease on the action. There is a tiny hairline crack at the left of the stock head; otherwise, the wood is excellent with a light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
