Early Pre-World War II Winchester Model 61 Slide Action Rifle in Scarce .22 WRF with Octagon Barrel Manufactured in 1932, the first year of production. The barrel has standard proof steel, model, trade mark, and caliber markings on the left upper flat, and the two-line address/patent information is on the right upper flat. The top of the barrel and receiver are stamped with the Winchester oval "WP" proof. Fitted with a dovetailed beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear sporting notch sights and 11 groove flat bottom forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate. Manufacturer: Winchester Model: 61 BBL: 24 inch octagon Stock: walnut Gauge: 22 WRF Finish: blue Grips: Serial Number: 2965 Class: Curio & Relic Long Gun Condition: Fine.
