Newcomb College Art Pottery High Glaze Bowl
1903, decorated by Esther Huger Elliot, incised with stylized irises, cross-section plant designs and vertical bands in underglazes of blue, base marked with Newcomb cipher, decorator's mark, Joseph Meyer's potter's mark, reg. no. "II18" and "W" for white clay body, h. 4 in., dia. 8 in.

  • Condition: Typical glaze crazing to interior and exterior. One inch and a half hairline extending from rim. Bowl still "rings" if you tap.
