New Orleans Coin Silver Water Pitcher
Adolphe Himmel (1825/6-1877), act. New Orleans 1852-1866, for Hyde & Goodrich, act. 1828-1861, marks: "HYDE & GOODRICH" incised arc, above "H" incised, above "NEW ORLEANS" incised in complementary arc; bulbous pear-shaped body, classical mask below foliate lip, band of cabochons encircling neck, body with repousse ivy leaves and berries on stippled ground, one cartouche with later monogram, the other vacant, applied flared foot of running curule and cross banding.
Note: Closely related to Edward C. Moore for Tiffany "Chased Ivy" pattern.
