National Arms Company No. 2 Derringer Manufactured circa 1865 to 1870 with total production of an estimated 12,000 before being purchased by Colt in 1870. The top of the barrel has the one line address and the serial number is on the underside. The assembly number "CG50" is stamped on the left frame side under the grip and on the right grip panel. The left grip panel appears to have the number "9452" in pencil. It has the standard scroll engraving and checkered grips. Blue finish with silver plated frame. Manufacturer: National Arms Co Model: 2 BBL: 2 1/2 inch irregular Stock: Gauge: 41 RF Finish: blue/silver Grips: rosewood Serial Number: 8850 Class: Antique Condition: Fine. The barrel retains 70% original blue finish with a smooth brown patina on the balance. The frame retains a few traces of original silver plating with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina. The grips are very fine with much of the original varnish, some minor handing marks and a few blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
