Mauser 1937 Dated "S/42" Code Semi-Automatic Luger Pistol Rig This is an excellent early 1937 dated S/42 code German Mauser Luger P.08 pistol with one original matching magazine. This is an early production model that has the rust blued metal finish with straw colored small parts and niter blue pins springs and screws. The chamber is dated "1937", and it has the "S/42" code markings on the front toggle. The right side of the barrel extension and barrel have the early droop wing "eagle/63" proofs with the Mauser factory eagle firing proofs. It has matching numbers on the various parts to include the one magazine as noted above. It is fitted with a set of unnumbered replacement walnut grips that each have a small Eagle/655 waffenamt proof on the back side. It also comes with a spare, nickel plated magazine with an unnumbered or proofed aluminum base. It is complete with a black, leather holster that is stamped on the back side: "GEBRUDER KLINGE/DRESDEN/1936" over a single Waffenamt proof. The holster also includes an unmarked takedown tool in the pouch under the flap. The smaller parts retain 50% of their original straw colors overall. The grips are in fine condition with nice distinct checkering on both side showing light handling marks overall on both sides with moderate wear visible on both lower panels. The holster is in very fine condition with clear sharp markings with an exceptional black color overall, showing only very light use.
