SN 7000. Cal. 7.63mm. This mid-production Conehammer has 5.5" bbl and pinned 1-10 rear sight. Long extractor and independently secured firing pin. Usual chamber address with a Crown/Crown U mark on the left side of the bbl extension and an antler proof on the right side. Deeply chiselled floral engraving has been applied to the top of the bbl extending 2_ forward of the chamber, on each side of mag well, and over the floorplate. The full SN is on the backstrap just under the locking level and repeated under the rear sight, bolt stop, firing pin retainer, firing pin, bolt, back of hammer, floorplate, sub-frame and components, locking block and inside each grip. The follower is unnumbered. Lanyard ring present. Major parts finished with rust blue. Fire blued extractor, rear sight, bolt stop, firing pin retainer and safety. Gray hammer and brightly polished trigger. Serrated wood grips. Accompanied by Conehammer stock having a serrated lid and a re-numbered, matching lug. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection - Germany. CONDITION: Approximately 90-95% rust blue, refurbished over bbl and in areas of engraving, blending into the largely orig finish on bbl extension and on most of the frame behind the mag well. Grip straps have largely transitioned to brown. Small parts with approximately 50-70% orig fire blue with trigger straw having toned to gray. Grips with mild oil discoloration and scattering of handling dings. Dull bore with barely discernible rifling. Perfect manual mechanics.
