Single bead sight on the smooth rib with flourishes of light scroll engraving at the breech and muzzle, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, faux British style proofs on the flats, and modified/full chokes. The side lock action is color casehardened with hand detachable locks, full coverage fine English rose and scroll style engraving, gold lined cocking indicators, dual triggers, and tang mounted safety. The water table is stamped "BEST" ahead of the serial number. Checkered beavertail forearm with engraved fittings, and straight grip buttstock with engraved skeleton buttplate over a checkered bare butt. The second barrel set is also 27 5/8 inches with a solid rib, matching markings and serial numbers, 2 3/4 inch chambers, and improved cylinder/modified chokes. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .727/.727 inch; minimum wall thickness .037/.037 inch; drop at comb 1 1/4 inches; drop at heel 2 inches; length of pull 14 3/4 inches. With leather bound takedown case with Frank E. Malin & Son interior label, oiler, snap caps, and cleaning tools. Extra barrel set is also excellent with some light surface scratches. The case is good with a broken latch and numerous exterior scuffs and dings.
