Louis Curti (active 1926-1949), Gouache and pencil,? Theatrical design, Signed lower left and bears 'Alec Shanks 55, St James Street SW 1' verso.? 17 3/8 x 11 1/2''? Curti worked for most of The Great Parisian Music Halls, in particular The Casino De Paris, The Folies Berger, and the Chalet. On returning to London he worked for the London Hippodrome, The Apollo, The Piccadilly, The London Palladium, and The Prince of Wales. His works are held in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
